Citizen Participation for Planning the New Stuttgart Main Station
Brief description
The rebuilding of the Stuttgart main train station has been a topic of great controversy and conflict. In early 2012, the State of Baden Württemberg conducted a state referendum. The majority of citizens voted in favor of the new station. The participatory program is therefore focused on providing full transparency and information to all citizens about the various stages in the construction plan and on conducting expert or citizen forums for any open decision that relates to options in the implementation of the project.
