Brief description
DIALOGIK-engagement project BEKO distinguished by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment.
On 7 February 2012, the state government of the German Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg adopted the key elements of a climate protection act that is supported by an energy and climate protection concept (IEKK). The report that was commissioned for preparation of the act proposes sector-related reduction targets and measures to achieve the climate targets in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Furthermore, the Council of Ministers has asked the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector of Baden-Wuerttemberg to carry out a process of citizen and public participation (BÖB) in relation to the development of the energy and climate protection concept. DIALOGIK supports the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector in its intention to realize comprehensive citizen and public participation in the development of the "Integrated Energy and Climate Protection Concept for Baden-Wuerttemberg".
The aim of the citizen and public participation process is to present the action goals and related measures to citizens and associations and to obtain feedback on them. A total of twelve Citizen and Association Round Tables will be carried out, each with at least two meetings. Furthermore, citizens will have the opportunity to evaluate the proposed measures online via a web-site. The results of the Round Tables and the online evaluation will be analyzed and recommendations to the State Government of Baden-Wuerttemberg be defined.
