In an empirical study, DIALOGIK investigated the attitudes and options of employees working in home-offices with regard to an energy- and resource-efficient use of IT equipment. For this purpose, two online focus groups were conducted in July 2022 with employees of industrial and service companies from Baden-Württemberg. The publication first provides information about the participants' experiences with working at home and the software and hardware equipment available to them. Based on this, aspects of an energy- and resource-efficient use of home office IT and the underlying conditions and barriers are analysed. In the report's conclusion, the profound ambivalence of attitudes becomes clear, ranging between acceptance and willingness to act as well as relativism and rejection.
