The Baden-Württemberg Foundation has launched the funding programme ‘Do-it-yourself climate protection’, which supports creative and practical ideas from makers, hobbyists and initiatives in the state. The aim of the programme is to make concrete progress in climate protection through self-developed solutions from civil society. Of the numerous project ideas submitted, 14 receives funding. A total of around 500,000 euros is available for the years 2025 and 2026.
The focus is on projects for CO₂ reduction and climate adaptation that are easy to implement and encourage imitation. The initiative brings together the maker scene, educational institutions and committed individuals in Baden-Württemberg.
DIALOGIK is responsible for the scientific support and implementation of the programme. In the long term, the aim is to strengthen and anchor climate protection expertise in the population.
