Brief description
The "Klima-RT-LAB" project accompanies, supports and researches the transformation process of the City of Reutlingen Group towards climate neutrality. To this end, real-life experiments are being carried out in five climate-relevant fields of action in tandem teams from research and practice. The aim is to anchor the path to climate neutrality in the city administration and the city's municipal companies, to research the institutionalisation process of climate neutrality and to derive relevant transformation knowledge.
In doing so, the scientists support employees and managers from the administration and companies in shaping the transformation process towards climate neutrality. From all this, Klima-RT-LAB derives how other municipalities can succeed in the transformation towards climate neutrality.
In order to initiate the sustainability transformation in Reutlingen in various fields of action and to research the institutionalisation process of climate neutrality, there are five real-life experiments: energy supply, heat supply, buildings and infrastructure, mobility and action for climate neutrality.
