The Baden-Württemberg Stiftung wants to support projects that encourage the environmental awareness and the personal responsibility of children. The target groups are children between 3 and 8 years. By means of exemplification and active learning they should be sensibilised for ecological sustainability and develop an environmental awareness.

Brief description

The Baden-Württemberg Stiftung is committed to strengthening the dialogue between science and public in many different ways – especially with a view to the encouragement of technical and natural scientific interests of children and adolescents. For this purpose they started an ideas competition in 2002 and the program SCOUT Science Outlined in 2005. Dialogik supervised both programs. Based on the knowledge gained in these two programs Dialogik will take the organization and implementation of the program „Erziehung für nachhaltige Entwicklung im Kindergarten“ (Education towards sustainable development in kindergarten)..

All kindergartens and day nurseries, voluntary or public bodies, corporations, associations and organizations based in Baden-Württemberg are appealed to participate in the competition. A panel of independent experts will review the projects and select appropriate projects by means of elaborated processes.

Dialogik has been instructed by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung for the realization of the project and is responsible for:

-      The advertisement of the project

-     The assortment of the experts and the accomplishment of the procedure for calling in expert opinions

-     Entourage and evaluation of the project
