Brief description
This DIALOGIK project deals with risk governance of bioenergy. Bioenergy offers many potential benefits for the production of electricity as well as heat and transport fuel from biomass. Yet environmental, economic and social risks are also associated with bioenergy. Therefore, the project applies IRGC’s Risk Governance Framework to the issue of bioenergy in order to prepare risk governance guidelines and policy options. The project hopes to enable societies to benefit from bioenergy while minimizing the negative consequences of its associated risks.
